What you are agreeing to

By using defthat.app or making a purchase, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms apply to all visitors and customers.

What the product is

defthat generates a CLAUDE.md file based on your answers to a series of questions about your tech stack. The file contains opinionated patterns, conventions, security guides, and configuration examples tailored to the choices you make. Each purchase produces one generated file.

What you get

After completing the wizard and paying $9 through Stripe, you receive a single generated CLAUDE.md file displayed on your result page. You can copy this file and use it in your projects. Each new generation requires a separate purchase.

Ownership of your generated file

You own the CLAUDE.md file generated from your purchase. You are free to use it, modify it, include it in private or public repositories, and share it however you like. We do not claim any ownership over the output generated for you.

No guarantees about the content

The generated CLAUDE.md file is provided as-is, for informational and productivity purposes. While we aim to produce accurate and useful guidance for your stack, we cannot guarantee that every recommendation will be correct for your specific project. You are responsible for reviewing the output before using it. defthat is not a substitute for your own judgment about architecture, security, or deployment decisions.

Refund policy

Because defthat delivers a digital product immediately after purchase, refunds are generally not available. That said, if something genuinely went wrong (the generation failed, you were charged twice, or the result was clearly broken), reach out to us and we will make it right. We handle these on a case-by-case basis and want to be fair. Contact defthatapp@gmail.com with your Stripe session ID and a description of the issue.

Acceptable use

When using defthat, you agree not to:

• Attempt to access other users' purchase data or generated files.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate purchases through the site.
• Use the site in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation.
• Resell generated files as a competing service.

Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. defthat never sees or stores your credit card number. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

Limitation of liability

defthat and Def That App are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of our service or the content of generated files. This includes (but is not limited to) lost profits, data loss, or issues caused by following recommendations in a generated CLAUDE.md file. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for your purchase ($9).

Availability

We aim to keep defthat.app available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily take the site down for maintenance or updates without prior notice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of defthat after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. Since we do not collect email addresses, we cannot notify you directly of changes.
